The Clock

The clock is displayed in the top left corner of the screen.  

It shows today's date; the current UK local time with current trading period number; current GMT; the trading period end time with related trading period number; time remaining (in minutes and seconds) until next gate closure; a progress bar.

Colour coded timer indicating minutes and seconds to next gate closure.

The figure above shows 18 minutes and 53 seconds to gate closure.  The background colour is green to indicate the beginning of the half hour period and that the majority of the period is still remaining.  This background colour turns from green, to orange and finally to red to indicate that most of the period has passed.  The dark blue bar below the timer creates a progress bar and gives a visual indication of how far the period has advanced.  

NB The end time for SP (Settlement Period) 48 is shown as 24:00 rather than 00:00 on the following day.
